The first thing I thought when I saw this baby boy was how gorgeous his head of dark hair was. He had the most creamy complexion and was just adorable in every way. You can see where he gets his good looks from! It was a pleasure working with this family and photographing their newborn baby boy. Mom and dad could not have been any more welcoming and sweet. I had a great Winter break, but was very excited to get back to doing what I love – photographing babies! Over the break I still had photography on the brain (shocker!). I attended Imaging USA in New Orleans which was an amazing photography conference. I learned so much! I also got together with some local photographer friends to learn studio lighting. My goal is to be able to work in any situation and being a natural light photographer made dark, stormy days very difficult. I needed to keep things fairly portable since I plan to continue working on-location. The solution is a one light set-up that produces very natural and soft lighting. Here are some of the images we took from the get-together with the studio lighting. I just love the results!

I always look forward to photographing my cousin’s handsome son. Isn’t he adorable?! This year was extra exciting because I got to meet his new cousin. She is just precious and was just learning how to sit on her own. I just loved her huge smiles! Now that the holidays are over, the family has seen their surprise portraits. That means I get to share with you. Enjoy!
I could not believe how much Miss “A” has changed since I had last seen her as a newborn! She is walking running and talking now and has an adorable personality. I had a great time following her around as she showed me some of her favorite things (mommy, squirrels, and her dog!). Here are some of my favorites from our session:
How cute is this little man?! Mom was worried we would have trouble getting some smiles out of him since he is a very serious baby (love that!), but I am happy to say mission accomplished! We even got their furbaby in on the action. My fellow photographers will be able to relate to how difficult it is to get a dog and a baby to both cooperate at the same exact time! Thanks to the “T” family for a fun-filled morning. Your son is precious!
