I was so excited when this family contacted me to tell me they were expecting again! I had the pleasure of photographing their first baby girl and was honored to come back and do an in-home newborn session for this baby as well. It always amazes me how siblings can look so different from each other (I know my girls look like complete opposites!). I think the oldest looks like mom and the youngest like dad. Both are precious! I had a wonderful in-home photography session with the sweetest newborn girl in Mercer County, NJ. Mom was a big fan of girly accessories so we had a lot of fun with my new fabrics, headbands and hats! Sweet Miss “E” was a wonderful sleeper and only woke up briefly to eat. They were such a gorgeous, picture-perfect family!
I had a wonderful newborn session with this adorable baby boy. He had quite the appetite and kept his mom very busy! In between feedings I was able to capture some lovely images of him with his family and some peaceful images of him alone. I love the variety we were able to capture. I had a great Winter break, but was very excited to get back to doing what I love – photographing babies! Over the break I still had photography on the brain (shocker!). I attended Imaging USA in New Orleans which was an amazing photography conference. I learned so much! I also got together with some local photographer friends to learn studio lighting. My goal is to be able to work in any situation and being a natural light photographer made dark, stormy days very difficult. I needed to keep things fairly portable since I plan to continue working on-location. The solution is a one light set-up that produces very natural and soft lighting. Here are some of the images we took from the get-together with the studio lighting. I just love the results!

I had an amazing in-home newborn session with this sweet baby boy before the holidays. He was a great sleeper and was also content while awake. Just loved his chunky cheeks! He was welcomed into such a loving family. Really enjoyed chatting with his mom, dad, and grandma. Enough talking – take a look at the images!
